RAY-RAN Melt Flow Indexer
The MFI measures the flow of a thermoplastic polymer melt. Molten Polymer is extruded through a closely controlled capillary from the apparatus using pre-set conditions of temperature and pressure produced by a dead weight system. The extruded polymer is cut off manually and is then weighed. MFI is defined as the mass of polymer, in grams, flowing for ten minutes.
